Ashtead Ballet School Terms & Conditions

By paying a fee you agree to the following terms and conditions. Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd may revise these terms and conditions from time to time and they are available to review at any time on our website.

Any changes to the terms and conditions will be made with half a term's notice.

By continuing to attend our dance classes after any changes to the terms and conditions take effect, you agree to be bound by those changes. You may notify Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd of your objection to the proposed changes and therewith cancel your subscription of the dance classes in compliance with our cancellation policy by giving half a term’s notice. Any necessary editing, including typographical or calculation errors or other obvious mistakes, does not constitute an amendment to the terms and conditions.

INFORMATION ABOUT US

We offer RAD and ISTD dance classes which are a service / leisure / recreational activity that takes place at a specific time:

Our dance classes are a direct debit based service.

All dance classes run during the academic school terms of the Mole Valley District Council (spring, summer and autumn term).

Each term is either 11 or 12 weeks long which includes a half term break (no classes).

The dates for the current and upcoming term are always displayed on our website.

The dance class levels are based on the RAD and ISTD’s grades that are displayed on our website and which do not necessarily coincide with the academic school years.

IMPORTANT

Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd has a zero tolerance for bullies. Our aim is to provide a happy, respectful, and fair environment whether in the office or in our dance classes. We expect the same respect from all our customers in return. If that respect is not shown, Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd reserves the right to exclude those customers from our services (see also: CODE OF CONDUCT). We reserve the right to decline enrollment at our discretion. We are not obliged to provide a reason.

ENROLLMENT

No bookings can be made over the phone but need to be made via email to info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.

a) Trial Class

Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd welcomes all new pupils to the school by offering a trial class before signing up to any dance classes. A trial class fee is due upon booking and is non-refundable.

b) Enrollment After Trial Class

It is the customer's responsibility to give advice of continuation via email to info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk after their trial class. This will set up an automatic termly renewal/direct debit until cancelled in compliance with our cancellation policy.

FEES

From Summer term 2026, Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd will be moving to a direct debit payment system. Termly fees will be collected by Direct Debit. If you need to talk to us about fees or a payment plan, please reach out via info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.

EXAM FEES

Exam fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.

Payments can only be made through the payment link provided on your invoice or through your account on our website.

If you miss making the payment by the due date, your child will not be able to take part in the exam.

If you miss the due date but wish to enter your child late for the exam, an additional late fee of £30 will be added to your exam fee.

TIMETABLE

Our timetable is subject to change. If you wish to change your allocated class, you must contact the office via info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.



Any timetable changes will be given out with 8 weeks notice.

 CLASS PLACEMENTS

Any class placements follow a first come, first serve policy. If you need to move to a different class during the term, you must contact info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.

 CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancelling your classes requires half a term’s notice. Cancellations can only be processed if they have been given via email to info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk and will result in membership being cancelled with immediate effect to avoid upcoming charges. Any late notice will be changed for a half term worth of fees regardless of whether classes are attended or not. 

 FEES & PAYMENTS

All payments need to be made via GoCardless. Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd reserves the right to refuse to provide a later payment date.

Enrollment Fee: A one-off £20 fee is due upon enrollment and is non-refundable.

Term Fees: These are paid in advance and are non-refundable. Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd reserves the right to cancel class places due to outstanding payments.

From September 2026 we will be introducing a £20 yearly family membership fee to cover rising and ancillary costs.

LATE FEES

Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd reserves the right to add a late fee (£10 per half term) to any outstanding payments. Chasing payments is time-consuming; please reach out to info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk in a timely manner if you have concerns.

Payment and fee increases

Customers will be given 8 weeks notice of any fee increases or new fee introductions

CLASS CREDITS

We only issue class credits in exceptional circumstances and by prior arrangement with info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.

CANCELLED CLASSES

In case of sessions being cancelled by Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd, we will schedule a replacement or issue a credit. We will endeavor to notify pupils via email or text.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Neither Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd nor our venues will be liable for loss or damage to personal property, or for any loss/expense due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, epidemics, etc.).

STUDENT / PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

If you have signed up for classes at Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd but have not received notifications, please contact info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.

Please notify info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk if someone else will be collecting your child.

Inform us via email of any contact detail changes, medical conditions or unusual circumstances (injury, etc.) that may affect a student’s wellbeing.

DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS

Our clients’ details are stored with Gmail, Stripe, Membermeister, and our website.

Membermeister: Stores full name, contact details, DOB, and medical notes.
If you hand in your notice to info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk, we will archive your details from our system at the end of your notice period.

CHILD PROTECTION

The Designated Safety Officer is Jennifer Siegeris (info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk). Ashtead Ballet School trading under Siegeris Dance ltd has a zero tolerance policy for bullying or abusive behavior on social media or in person.

MARKETING

Every active customer will receive relevant notifications through Membermeister and from info@ashteadballetschool.co.uk.
